Water Energy: An Overview

While traditional hydropower dams do create renewable energy, it comes with a high cost; massive infrastructure expenses, displaced people, destroyed ecosystems, as well as disrupted plant and animal populations. What has been lacking, until now, is a solution to generate electricity from water in its natural form.

Vigor is developing hydropower systems which generate electricity - on-site - without the need for constructing any new dams.

Vigor's hydrokinetic turbine, the Gorlov Helical Turbine (GHT) was developed and tested at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. The superior performance demonstrated by the GHT garnered international acclaim, numerous patents and awards, and led to Vigor's interest in distributing this product.
